FormscanBy Tom Weekes - COTTEEMCAVENNIGOAL might defy top weight. He finishing well on debut for his new trainer at Leopardstown over Christmas and while he picked a fine day to fall when heavily backed at that same venue in March, put things right with a good win at Navan last time. He is a capable type who handles nice ground well and competes today from a notional 113 rating, which he should better. One Cool Poet is well known, having completed a treble at the 2019 Galway festival, and while he is 0-11 over hurdles and is now a 9yo, should prove competitive. He has competed well in useful Leopardstown handicaps this season and would appreciate any further drying ground. Different Strokes won an ordinary Claimer at Clonmel latest but has a chance for new connections. He showed little in point-to-points but could be the type to do better on this type of ground. First Touch won an ordinary Clonmel maiden in March and while he meets drying ground today, did win a point-to-point on a sound surface and can run well. Grange Walk makes his reappearance and will appreciate the drying ground.
