A late-May Punchestown winner, his Galway run, on belated chase debut, was a good effort and might progress for the run. Birchdale was a Grade 2 winner in January 2019 and makes his debut for a new yard. His sixth-placed finish in the Coral Cup was good and while he is sure to do well over fences in Ireland, today's trip is too sharp on seasonal reappearance, with cross-country races probable longterm plans. Capable hurdler Goodbye Someday was well held at Killarney and would also ideally prefer further. Nero Rock has run well on recent chase starts but might find a few too strong while One Down ran well on chase debut in June and can improve from that run. Buddy Rich and Max Flamingo both face stiff enough tasks on respective chase debuts but are nonetheless capable. Dancing On My Own hasn't run since November 2019 while Poseidon is declared to run on Sunday.
