He gave away all chance with a slow start when well supported on debut last year and confirmed his ability with a very good run over 5f in March. He looks a likely type to win this and could well improve a little for today's step up in trip. Connections of Sonaiyla won't be jumping up and down about their draw in 23 either and she is an obvious danger to the selection. She has shown nice ability in three starts and on strict handicap rating terms, and including jockey claims, has 1lb in hand over THAT'S MAD. She drops back to 6f today, having tried 7f the last day (when Woody Creek disappointed) but might prove vulnerable to the selection if he maintains progression. Time Tunnel is a hugely notable newcomer being out of a Group 1 winning dam and by a top stallion. She could win on debut but her dam made her juvenile debut in September at a mile and her best form as a 3yo was over middle distances. That said, Time Tunnel represents a yard in flying form and she could become the best horse in this race in time. Castletownshend has a wide draw in 17 and while he has shown ability in similar maidens recently, looks vulnerable to a few again today. Kodiqueen was green on debut and while well enough held then, is capable of improvement. Anthonysoprano is a half-brother to an Italian Group-placed winner and could have ability. Zodiacus ran a nice race on debut recently and is well capable of progressing.
