FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SWINGBRIDGE might be able to defy top weight and win this open looking big-field handicap. He has done very well since joining Gordon Elliott in mid-2017 and while there may no longer be any 'juice' in his 123 chase rating, he did run well enough in the Troytown Chase recently and now reverts to hurdles from a much lower 109 rating. He goes well over this trip, likes a sound surface and his recent hurdle outings have offered plenty hope that he can again win over the smaller obstacles. He Knows My Name was a surprise 20/1 winner over fences at Down Royal latest and while it is a concern she disappointed on her latest hurdles start, her previous form was useful, she likes good ground, stays well and now competes from a hurdles mark of just 82, a full 29lbs below her chase rating. Lady Quill won on debut for her new yard at Thurles recently and has claims with conditions again very much in her favour while the runner-up then Askari is consistent and also comes here fit and well but possibly isn't ahead of the handicapper. Waaheb is now rising 12 but his rating continues to slide and Mark Walsh now takes over from 7lb claimers while similarly owned Market's Field stays well but may not be ahead of the handicapper. Danse Away might prefer easier ground but was useful at this level last season and has some claims today.
