He ran third in the Galmoy Hurdle on that occasion, behind the hugely exciting Presenting Percy. Augusta Kate split them there, and Diamond Cauchois is back to two miles five for this assignment, after racing over three miles then. The tongue-strap worn at Gowran is retained, and Gordon Elliott's runner is back to Navan, where he impressed so much over two and a half in mid-December. Elliott has a strong second string to his bow with Lieutenant Colonel. They try blinkers on this fellow now instead of cheek-pieces. Bapaume is the one to aim at with his 153 rating, but he must concede 5Ibs to his three rivals. The veteran Maggio will justifiably be the outsider.
