FormscanBy Alan Magee - EMILY MOON hails from a yard in good form and is taken to make a winning start over fences. The daughter of Beneficial won a bumper on testing ground at Cork and made all twice over hurdles at Naas and Limerick early last year. She didn’t enjoy the clearest of runs when a creditable sixth to Black Tears in a highly competitive 27-runner handicap at the Dublin Racing Festival in Leopardstown last month. Edene D’arc handles testing ground well and looks the chief threat if she can brush up on her jumping. The Gordon Elliott-trained mare has failed to complete on both chase outings this term, although she was still in contention when falling at the penultimate fence in the race won by better-fancied stablemate Tintangle at Fairyhouse. Our Roxane filled the runner-up spot in that Leopardstown handicap won by Black Tears when in receipt of 18lb from the selection, while others to note include Misty Millie and Miss Pernickety.
