FormscanBy Tom Weekes - This is the third Grade 3 race on the card and MOON OVER GERMANY might be able to continue his good recent run. He was absent for two years before being sent chasing in December 2018 and since then has progressed well over fences, culminating with a Graded handicap win at Aintree in April. He returned with another fine win, albeit in a conditions chase at Ballinrobe, in August with the runner-up winning subsequently. He is a proven performer at this level, seems ground-versatile and has race-fitness on his side. Champagne Classic himself missed almost two years following his Cheltenham and Punchestown (where he won a Grade 1 novice) heroics and showed a similarly high level of form when twice placed in Graded company over fences last season. He is clearly a smart horse who should be fit enough to do himself justice today but is at a disadvantage race-fitness wise today over a trip which is shorter than ideal. Brahma Bull is a free-going type who has race-fitness on his side and is the pick of Paul Townend, over Robin De Carlow. There is precious little between the pair on their latest Killarney meeting which was over this trip 44 days ago but Robin De Carlow would ideally be better suited by a longer trip. Dandy Mag did very well to win on chase debut at Galway in August (beating this year's Martin Pipe Hurdle winner) and is open to plenty progression despite dropping back to a trip she was more accustomed to over hurdles (she was placed in an Autueil Grade 1 at this trip). Put The Kettle On has been on a roll in recent times but connections would surely settle for a valuable black-type placing today while Grey Waters unceremoniously missed out on black-type at the final fence at Roscommon last week and might struggle here.
