FormscanBy Mark Nunan - Very little form to go on in this four-year-old bumper, and a chance is taken with Derek O’Connor’s mount FREE NELSON. He’s a half-brother to four winners on the level one of which, Simon Gray, also scored over hurdles for Dessie Hughes. Peter Fahey doesn’t make matters any easier by also having a top rider on his other representative here, but Jamie Codd’s mount Jazz Toes was well-beaten on debut at Roscommon. Joseph O’Brien’s Watch Guard was placed in his first two bumpers, but was beaten into sixth when joint-favourite at Punchestown last month and looks vulnerable to a decent newcomer. The likes of Be My Hero (hooded for debut), Giovanni Change and Method Madness come from yards well used to saddling first-time-out winners in this type of contest.
