The Galway Races presents a week of unmatched excitement, style, fashion and racing from Ballybrit.

The week-long festival straddles the final days of July into the August Bank Holiday weekend and attracts the masses to the west coast like no other racing event.

A summer staple, the Galway Races attracted more than 130,000 racegoers in 2024, with over €2.1m in prize money.

If you want to tune in only for one part of the festival, you can check out the complete 2025 Galway Races schedule and see when each race starts.

If you can't attend the Galway Races in person, there are plenty of ways to watch the action unfold from afar.

RTE Racing

Ireland's national broadcaster retains a strong commitment to the Galway Races, with five days of live broadcasting from Ballybrit.

Hugh Cahill, Ruby Walsh, Jane Mangan, Davy Russell, Andre McNamara, Barry Geraghty, Lisa O'Neill and more familiar faces will be on hand to offer expert analysis, forthright views and big race interviews from Monday 28th July through until Friday 1st August, including the major races like the COLM QUINN BMW Handicap, the Tote Galway Plate and the Guinness Galway Hurdle.

Viewers can tune into the action on RTE2 television, while it can be live streamed via the RTE Player online or watched back later.

TG4

Two days of racing from this year's Galway Races Summer Festival will also be broadcast live on TG4 on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd of August.

TG4 is Ireland's free-to-air public service television channel broadcast 'as Gaelige'.

In 2024, the coverage included two packed race cards, with 16 races shown over the two days to a free-to-air audience.

Rasai Beo is presented by Sean Ban Breathnach, with analysis from pundits Manus O Conghaile and Evelyn Ni Ghriallais.

Racing journalist Daragh O Conchuir gets all the reactions from trainers, owners and jockeys outside the parade ring, with race commentary provided by Carthach Ban Breathnach, and Meghann Scullywill is on the ground reporting from Galway.

There is also behind the scenes access to the craic and the style over the two days via the @TG4TV and @SportTG4 social channels, while the on-demand service TG4 Player is available in Ireland and beyond for full online coverage.

Racing TV

Racing TV holds the rights to broadcast every race from Ireland's racecourse and will be on hand for all seven days at the Galway Races.

The subscription channel will have expert analysis and coverage from the course via the likes of Gary O'Brien, Donn McClean, Fran Berry, Johnny Ward, Ruby Walsh and Kevin O'Ryan.

Racing TV's coverage can be viewed via their dedicated app and website, while punters will never miss a beat via the Racing TV Extra coverage online dedicated to each of the meetings they show.
