He was knocking on the door and deserved it,. The ground was probably a bit softer than ideal. Hopefully it will dry out and we'll come back here for the Joe McGrath Handicap (September 27th). He was unlucky in the Scurry Handicap here on Derby day when he won on the far side. He was out in front on his own and idled. The cheekpieces seem to have done the job today.
