I'm training in a place called Ballylynan (near Athy) now. I was expecting things to happen for the other one (Hilary, 5th in the previous race) but they didn't. This fella has been working on Jim Bolger's gallops and he's been going better and better but some times when they get two ways of thinking you wouldn't know what they'd do.

Johnny [Allen] won on him the last day and gave him a good ride. . We decided to claim off with today on account of the penalty and Robbie [McCarth] was good on him. We had originally planned to give him a break after today but that might change now, he likes a mark in the ground. It's great for the owner Caroline Mills who is from Abbeyleix.
