He always runs well at The Curragh and he may go to Galway next if the weather stays like this. He loves soft ground and seven furlongs or a mile is his best trip.

I gave him a really good chance today. He ran well at The Curragh the last day in an apprentice race but didn't get the run of the race. The girl who rode him put her hands up afterwards and I thought he'd win today - I was very sweet on him. Where he goes I don't know but we'll play it by ear . he loves that soft ground.

The win was a real family affair, he is owned by my brothers [Bengy Coogan] sister-in-law Beverley Westermann who lives in Germany. He had a nice debut run at Dundalk when finishing fourth he would have appreciated the bit of ease in the ground here this evening. It was grand to get the win and we'll play it by year now.
