He obviously had a lovely run the first day on very different ground. Coming here, we hoped he'd win and, in fairness, he got the job done. . Wayne felt just on the quicker ground, it's probably the quickest ground he's ever been on even at home, he just couldn't get fully traction, he's just rolling around. When the other filly came on his outside it really helped him. He'll put himself in the Ascot mix now and, we'll see how he progresses and, where he fits in. Jack's filly (Cleary, on Sun Goddess) is a lovely filly too. We'll try and get one more run into her and, hopefully she turns into an Ascot filly too.

The reason for running him today was to give us the option of the Derby by running him at Chester, obviously the lads will have a good chat with Ryan and see what they are all thinking.

Obviously they can’t all go to Epsom, so he could go to the Dee Stakes and then have the option of going to Epsom or France. We always thought a lot of him.

He got home very well. I'd imagine he'll have no trouble stepping up in trip when the time comes. We just didn't want to start him up (in trip) in bad ground. We just wanted to get a run into him for this. You'd have to be very happy. You’d love the way he finished off and, probably time wise, I think it'll be a good enough run race.Ã‚ . Possibly. It'll depend what will happen with the other colts. He's ready. He's done his prep for it now. He'd be very comfortable coming back here.Ã‚

We were delighted. He’s obviously a fast horse. . We thought that he could be a King’s Stand horse, so we’ll see now. He has loads of speed. It was a good effort first time out in a good race. It was a nice race for him.

She’s lovely. She’s very green but she’s a quality filly. She hasn’t done an awful lot and she’s obviously a very good filly. She’ll probably come back here for the fillies' race, the trial for Ascot (on May 17th) , and then maybe the Albany.

We’re delighted with him and he was just ready to start. The plan was to come here and then go to the (Group 1) Lockinge. He has had a run now, obviously, before going to Newbury. He just got a bit tired but Wayne was very happy with him. He has a lot of racing to do this year. so we didn’t want to have him too ready starting off.
