Bellewstown Wed, 30th Sep, 2026  Arch Enemy She's unbelievable! She's just a very good mare, very sound and so easy to train. She got a great ride off Adam. He actually rang me a couple of weeks ago and he said he was interested in coming in to ride out. Fair play to him, he actually met me on the beach on Sunday morning when it was teeming with rain. Only he said he was going to be there, I probably would have turned the box around as the rain was that bad. He was in my yard on Monday morning, and he was saying about Arch. I said she wasn't going to get in as she was eight on the ballot. He was in the right place at the right time. I'm not actually sure where he lives, but I wouldn't say he is too close to Cavan. He is well able to ride. One of the lads in the yard spotted him and said to keep an eye on him, that he might be interested. Hopefully, that is the start of something because he is going to come into me a couple of days a week hopefully. He seems to be a good rider. The plan for a long time now has been to go for the premier handicap in Leopardstown. She won it a couple of years ago. She was out of the handicap that day. That is probably going to put her up enough just to sneak in at the bottom of it.

Laytown Thu, 10th Sep, 2026  Goldrush Kid He's not a bad horse. He had a mishap in Bellewstown where he bled but, before that, he was fifth in a 23-runner handicap. We just gave him a good break and just brought him back with this race in mind. I've only had two runners up here and both of them have won. We'll try and go again next year!. I'd definitely be pushing for more of these low-grade claimers. I would second what Ger Lyons said a couple of weeks ago. The optional claimers, I don't know what the theory is and I've spoken to a few people, and no-one can explain it to me. We need races for these lower-grade horses. I'd say this horse will be claimed and, if he is, best of luck to them. I was actually going to claim a horse out of it and changed my mind late on. I wouldn't mind a five grand horse, it is not going to break the bank. Jack was very good on him and he has ridden this horse all along. He is a big part of the team and I’m delighted for him. My dad owns it, so brilliant.

Galway Tue, 8th Sep, 2026  Coulstys Way She has been unlucky all year; she didn't get much of a run in Listowel and I trained her for the festival here in July but she got brought down, when I think she'd have finished second. It is great to get that and Charles Cranston and his mates have been very patient. She loves soft ground, so she'll be kept busy now and will rock on to Listowel.
