Clonmel Thu, 5th Nov, 2026  Mhi Milani In fairness Joey gave him a peach of a ride. He had been keen at Bellewstown but they went so fast today, that he didn't travel. Joey said he just left him alone, to run well, but that he flew home,. He shows plenty of gears at home, is a nice horse and Joey said he was good enough for a winners' bumper, so we'll see whether to go hurdling now or not. I think hurdling will help him. I'm delighted for his owner Leo McCormack as his son Liam is our yard sponsor, with his company LMC Siteworks. He is a very loyal owner and has four horses with us.

Wexford Sun, 25th Oct, 2026  Cathryns Ruby That was a little bit of a surprise. I thought she might need the run. I haven't overworked her because last season she wasn't the strongest. In fairness to Gerard(Berkery, owner) he sent her back this season looking very strong. They went very hard there, we kind of thought that they would, especially with ground the way it's changing. We planned to let her take her time and get a second wind if she needed it. That's exactly what Alan done and 5lb off her back was a bit help to help. She loves this ground. We were very close to going straight chasing with her this year only the ground was too dry so we didn't get any schooling into her. We said we'd give her the run over hurdles and go from there. We'll see what the handicapper does now. We might have the option of going for another hurdle or if not she'll go chasing.

Gowran Park Mon, 19th Oct, 2026  Venetian Star He has been a very frustrating horse. There were a couple of times we were sure we had the race sewn up but he always managed to get caught on the line or something. It's not that he's ungenuine but he probably barely just gets seven(furlongs). When you go back to six the horse just doesn't seem to enjoy it. To me he's a proper six-furlong horse but it doesn't seem to suit him. All we can do is keep him at seven now. Paddy (Harnett) got the fractions spot on there today. He doesn't have to be in front but he travels so well it's kind of hard to get him to settle. I said to Paddy to try take a pull coming down the hill and fill him up to come with one run. I'm delighted for the Brannigan family; Tony, Aileen and their son Luke. They gave me the horse at the start of the season and I'm delighted to have him. There might be a race for Galway in him. He likes the soft ground. We'll see what the handicapper does and if that worked out for him, he'll probably go to Galway.
