Fairyhouse Sat, 10th Oct, 2026  Pourquoi Poi He jumps so well and with all the fences out the last day didn’t suit him at all and he ran a cracker,. said Flynn. I didn’t want to put the cheekpieces on him because he gets excited but he’d actually spot anything so I think they helped him concentrate. I think they helped him. He’s very genuine but he’d spot anything, even at home. You wouldn’t think he’d go down to his fences and jump them but he’d run away from anything small at home. He loves that good ground. I wasn’t going to run him, only I saw a small entry, I was going to wait a bit longer. He’ll probably go to Down Royal now, hopefully there will be nice ground there at the end of the month. There is a three mile up there. For some reason he just wasn’t firing earlier in the year. He’s only a young horse and I think there could be more to come. Even next summer he could be a horse for Galway, for the Blazers or something like that.

Fairyhouse Mon, 21st Sep, 2026  Caffu Zafeen He’s been kind of disappointing to be honest,. We were down in the bottom barrel this evening, and he had a light weight with the jockey claiming off him. It just went well and it was very good, he said that he enjoyed the ground. Maybe turning helped him, as his wind wouldn’t be great. He had an operation as a young horse. I went to do his wind, but realised he had an operation before, so we couldn’t do it. I think turning might have assisted him, kept him interested a bit longer. We were in a straight line all year. He ran quite well at Navan last time and he was probably over-priced at 22/1. All the lads had a few quid on him. I wouldn’t have backed him!
