The difficulties of riding Kilbeggan were again demonstrated when Bryan Cooper was twice denied runs along the rail in the Kinnegad Maiden Hurdle aboard Seefood and his troubled passage helped Supreme Carolina to justify odds of 8/15 (from as big as 10/11 in places this morning). Sat 12th May

He loves that ground and he needed the three miles. It was too short at Limerick for him. Limerick sharpened up his jumping as they were going that bit faster and he had to jump them.

It's nice to win this race (in memory of Kieran Kelly). It's eleven years now and time flies. Kieran's father and brother are here tonight. This fellow jumped well. They went particularly quick for around here but once he went to them he picked up well enough.

He was impressive and he might be good enough for the novices looking at that. He quickened up well,. He's really only had one piece of work since his bumper win at Clonmel. Bryan said he's quick enough for two miles so I'd say we could look at anything from two to two-and-a-half for him.
