Trainer Sam Curling is happy with the current wet weather as his Angels Dawn bids to follow up her Cheltenham festival heroics in the Irish Grand National on Easter Monday.

The eight year old mare won last month's Kim Muir Chase under Pa King but will be reunited by Philip Enright at Fairyhouse on April 10.

Curling reports “she’s going well and hopefully it keeps raining! She’s come out of the race at Cheltenham great and will go for the Irish National all being well.

“She doesn’t need it real soft but as long it is safe. Hopefully she will have a chance.”
