Following an inspection this morning the track at Bellewstown is fit for racing and today's meeting goes ahead with the ground described as Heavy following 19mm of rain yesterday. Six yards of fresh ground is available today. Mainly dry today with a possibility of a further 3-4mm of rain later this afternoon.
The first of seven Flat races gets under way at 1.40pm.
Following 35mm of rain since declarations, Clonmel is Soft to Heavy for a seven-race jumps card which begins at 1.55pm. A further 6mm (approx) of rain is possible this afternoon.
Looking towards the weekend, Gowran Park (Friday/Saturday) is Heavy (Hurdle) & Soft to Heavy (Chase) following 25mm of rain. Further rain today, mainly dry Friday and unsettled Saturday.
Following 20mm of rain yesterday, Killarney (Saturday/Sunday) is Soft, Yielding to Soft (Flat) & Yielding, Good to Yielding in places (NH). Possibility of 8-10mm (approx) of rain today, dry tomorrow with a further 10-15mm (approx) on Saturday.
