Drish Melody served up a 50/1 surprise in Dundalk's seven-furlong nursery.

Joe Doyle rode the Galileo Gold filly to head Cryptos Dream in the final 150 yards and she kept on well to take the honours by a length and a quarter.

Runner-up Cryptos Dream was a 22/1 chance and was the same distance in front of Pepsiwithacap (7/2).

“She was a big price but we were expecting as she was in very good form today,” said trainer Donal Commins.

“Last week she wasn't in as good a form (when seventh) and she didn't even travel up to the races that well. Everything went well in her preparation all week and we were delighted with her.

“Her brother won this time last year up here as well, Drish Venture, we had a great time with him as well.

“This one is big and she's going to improve and improve. We'll probably put her away now, if we can sell her we will but she'll make a smashing three-year-old.”
