Jessica Harrington may send her unbeaten filly Albigna straight to the Moyglare Stud Stakes.

A narrow winner on her racecourse debut at the Curragh at the end of May, Albigna returned to the home of Irish Flat racing to land last month’s Group Two Airlie Stud Stakes — a victory which saw her shoot towards the head of the market for next year’s 1000 Guineas.

The Niarchos Family-owned juvenile retains the option of running in the Curragh’s Debutante Stakes on August 23, but connections are currently in favour of waiting for the Moyglare at the same course on day two of Irish Champions Weekend in mid-September.

“She’s in great form and had a nice breeze on Wednesday morning,” said Harrington.

“We’ll talk to her owners. It’s more than likely she won’t run again before the Moyglare — but she is in the Debutante, so we’ll see.”
