Inspection called for Gowran There will be an 8am inspection at Gowran tomorrow morning to determine whether racing can proceed in the afternoon. Clerk of the course Paddy Graffin said: "Following 11mm of rain this afternoon and persistent rain continuing at present on track, there will be an inspection at 8am on Wednesday morning at Gowran Park. "We did have a dry evening here yesterday and a very similar morning which changed the ground back to soft to heavy. However, the rain then arrived and we've already had more than the 10mm of rain that was forecast. "The forecast is for this rain to ease shortly and to be mainly dry thereafter so hopefully if that is accurate we will have a positive update tomorrow morning. The ground is now back to heavy."
