Mother Vincent continued her highly progressive profile of recent weeks by completing a hat-trick in the ten-furlong Naas Nursery Of Champions Handicap.

The daughter of Vocalised won over course and distance a fortnight ago before following up under a 6lb penalty at the Curragh.

She had a much stiffer task here off a mark of 81 (up 14lb from her initial success) and did really well to win having appeared to have plenty to do early in the straight.

Willie Byrne ’s mount came home really strongly inside the final furlong to deny Ultra Pride by a length and a half with Stormy Tale a further half a length away in third.

Winning trainer Jim Bolger said, “She’s a progressive filly. She missed the break and did well to win from where she was.

“She won’t be going to Dundalk but will be one for the spring. She appreciates a cut in the ground and will go on good ground as well.

“I think there is a nice bit of improvement in her.”
