After recording his second win in the Galway Plate with Royal Rendezvous Willie Mullins doubled up for the evening when Memorable Daise (11/2) took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Flat Race under Jody Townend.

A full-sister to Daisys Gift, who won six races for the stable including a Grade 2 novice chase at Limerick, the winner had been a beaten favourite on her first two starts at Tramore and Ballinrobe but fared better here as she led a furlong out before accounting for Fanoir (20/1) by three and a half lengths.

The better fancied Mullins runner, 9/4 favourite Mary Meehan dropped right out of contention before the straight having raced prominently under Patrick Mullins.

"She has improved nicely from her last run and Jody gave her a tremendous ride,” said the winning trainer.

"She is a big strong mare who I think will handle a winners' bumper. I think she'll improve and (owner/breeder) Nigel (King) has travelled over from England for his first race meeting since Listowel in September and it's also his birthday today.

"Mary Meehan just ran too free and ran with the choke out the whole way, and the false start didn't help either."
