With the weekend of a very fascinating and brilliant Galway Festival ahead, it's been a week to remember at Ballybrit.
From Daniel King's dual Plate and Hurdle success to the thrill of Tony Martin getting back to the highs of all that Galway has to offer, we've seen some superb performances, with the likes of Trean looking like a two-year-old to follow for trainer Paddy Twomey and Pivotal Attack giving trainer Joe Murphy his first winner in over 280 days.
We have plenty more to look forward to, so here's two tips for the final day.
13:50 Sunday — Timurshah
The Aidan Melia-trained gelding is in fine form and enjoyed Galway success when an easy winner by six-and-a-half lengths. He's an honest horse and, with rider Conor Smithers, they are a great partnership and look like they won't be stopping yet, even with the rise in the weights. Smithers' 4lb claim negates some of that increase.
The drop back down in trip should further suit the horse's running style, tenacious attitude and newfound will to win for a trainer who certainly knows how to train the select horses he has.
17:30 Sunday - Linford
The Willie Mullins-trained Linford looks an exciting prospect going forward after debut success at Killarney by 10 lengths. That was backed up with a facile success at Roscommon under a penalty when quickening away from Caislean Gear, who has since gone on to frank the form.
This four-year-old son of Masked Marvel looks a progressive type, and it'll be exciting to see him continue his racing career after his third bumper run on Sunday. He falls into the "could be anything" territory for me so far, and I feel he already has a willingness to win.
