Donnacha O'Brien was on the mark with Piz Badile in the Listed race at Dundalk last night and afterwards gave an update on his Cheveley Park Stakes contender Porta Fortuna.
Overnight favourite Relief Rally and Juniper Berries have been scratched this morning with eleven fillies currently due to line up for the Group 1 contest at Newmarket (2.25pm).
Unbeaten in her first three starts including the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, the daughter of Caravaggio has been placed in successive Group 1 contests at the Curragh since. After chasing home Bucanero Fuerte in the Phoenix Stakes, she dead-heated for third in the Moyglare Stud Stakes when trying seven furlongs for the first time.
O'Brien said of Oisin Murphy's mount: "She is in good form, but obviously it is a very good race. There are four or five horses there with very similar ratings.
"If we get a nice run and a bit of luck, hopefully she will run a big race.
"We are dropping in trip, but I think she has no problem six or seven (furlongs) and she is back on a bit of nice ground so that will help too."
