O'Keeffe gets right tune out of Johnny

An eight-race maiden before today, the Henry De Bromhead trained Jukebox Johnny stayed on strongly to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in the Kinlay Hostel Handicap Chase.
Prominent throughout under Darragh O’Keefe, the Durkan family-owned 9/2 shot was outpaced and pushed along intermittently throughout the final circuit.
Seemingly beaten after the last, the son of Jukebox Jury stayed on strongly in determined fashion to head the long-time leader Drop A Threat inside the final 150 yards and ran on to score by four lengths.
"He had a good run the last day in Limerick. In fairness, Henry said to me after the race that they were after putting this chase into Galway and that's been the plan so it worked out well," said winning jockey Darragh O’Keeffe.
