Ger O’Leary is planning on travelling with Makaiah in search of a maiden hurdle following a promising second to the odds-on Bacchanalian at Fairyhouse earlier this month.

The Bated Breath filly, placed on the Flat at Gowran Park last year before bought out of Ger Lyons’ yard, has steadily progressed in three starts over hurdles for current connections.

“She ran well at Fairyhouse and she got a rating of 104, so we might go over to Scotland to try and win a maiden hurdle there,” said O’Leary, who was speaking after saddling a double with Mehman and Jabbar at Dundalk on Friday.

"Aidan (Kelly) who rode her said she'd love the bottomless ground and would need another two furlongs.

"Scotland would be the plan."

The Curragh trainer has already made successful trips across the Irish Sea this season with Dumb Love winning at Sedgefield and Doyen For A Drink successful at Cartmel.
