County Cork trainer Terence O'Brien had a Christmas to remember with wins at Limerick for Frere Fontaine and Our Roxane. He has plenty to look forward to in 2020 as well.

Lakemilan has flown the flag nicely for O'Brien in recent seasons, along with Arkle Chase third placer Articulum.

Lakemilan is on a break at present as O'Brien explained: "She’s gone home and will be back in action again in the spring. We’ll probably look at Fairyhouse and Punchestown.

“She’s probably got a high enough mark now. She’s 140 over fences and 126 over hurdles.

“She was a revelation in fairness last year and we were lucky enough that Sandy Shaw was kind enough to us a few times and gave her a chance and she got lovely prize-money.

“She’s a handy little mare and I’m hoping there might be a nice handicap in her on the Flat as well around two miles.

“She has plenty of options and hopefully there are some mares’ chases for her over the summer.”
