Royal Rhythm proved very tough in front as he landed the Cannonwood Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel for Philip Rothwell.

Paddy O'Hanlon was soon in front on the 9/2 shot but he had company over the second last with Pana To Milan

The Jet Away gelding dug deep to assert on the run-in and he then held the late charge of Tingarran Express to record a three-parts-of-a-length win.

It was second career success for the John Leckey-owned gelding, who has also scored at Galway last October.

"He is versatile, you can ride him anyway and had proven stamina so I was able to make plenty use of him,” said O'Hanlon.

"Nothing was getting to him and he stuck at it well."
