Ruby Walsh finds one at a price in the Galway Plate
I’d be looking for second-season chasers; obviously. Finiculi Finicula won the right type of race for this at the Punchestown Festival. I think the extra couple of furlongs will really suit him.
The one I thought was overpriced was King Alexander I thought 25/1, he was too big a price.

He ran a cracker at Cheltenham behind Meetmebythesea, Gold Dancer and Regent’s Stroll, with Kiss Will just behind him, who then went back and looked like he still held a chance when he fell at the second-last in the Irish National.
I think what was just behind him was Slade Steel, that is pretty solid form. I can easily see why Paul Townend has gone for Finiculi Finicula.
Other Wednesday selections
I thought Kirkland Sioux won really well at the Curragh the last day. She has got a fair hike for it now, going from 76 to 87, but I thought she was a filly who would improve for stepping up in trip, and I think the stiff track at Galway will really suit her in the second-last.
The same goes for Gaoth Chuil in the last race. She won in Killarney last time, but I think a really stiff track like Galway will suit her as well, and she may be able to carry the penalty.
