Willie Mullins is contemplating options in Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia for his globetrotting mare True Self.

The six-year-old has been in Australia for the past few weeks, finishing second to Prince Of Arran in the Geelong Cup before winning the Queen Elizabeth Stakes last weekend.

With plenty of cash available abroad Mullins is happy to rack up the air miles.

“I was delighted with True Self in Australia and it was great to be out there to see her win. David Casey was there for a month looking after her and he did a great job,” said Mullins.

“She ran a great race in the Geelong Cup and the form worked out with the horse that beat her running so well in the Melbourne Cup.

“She’s been invited to Hong Kong and could go on to run in a valuable race over just short of two miles in Saudi Arabia.”

Another smart stayer in the yard is Cesarewitch winner Stratum, who has now had a switch of targets.

“We were thinking of aiming Stratum at Saudi Arabia, but the plan now is to give him a break and look at Royal Ascot, the Ebor and Melbourne next year,” said Mullins.
