Ten-year-old Shantou Sisu (5/1) gained a first win over fences, to go with two victories over hurdles, in the 2m3f handicap chase.

He went on with 85/40 favourite A Mere Bagatelle four out and established a handy advantage over that rival with a good jump at the next.

The market leader lost all chance with a bad blunder two out and, although pressed up the hill by Zagnzig the winner kept going well under Danny Mullins to score by three parts of a length. Nebraska was a further four and a half lengths away in third.

Winning trainer Billy Lanigan said: "Danny (Mullins) rides him very well.

"He's a very nice horse and is tough and genuine. He's the same in his work at home, he tries every inch of the road.

"He'd sooner have a bit of dig in the ground. He scoped badly after his last run.

"We might look at Listowel if there was a suitable race for him."
