BoyleSports has reported huge support for Palladium in the Triumph Hurdle market ahead of his eagerly anticipated British debut at Huntingdon on Thursday.

The Nicky Henderson-trained four-year-old ran out a narrow winner of the 2024 German Derby before finishing six-lengths adrift of Godolphin’s seven-time Group/Grade 1 scorer, Rebel’s Romance, in Cologne’s Preis von Europa last September.

Having passed through the sales ring in October, the son of Gleneagles was snapped up for €1.4million on behalf of Lady Bamford before being sent to Seven Barrows to prepare for a campaign over hurdles.

Despite the stable housing the red-hot 6/4 favourite Lalamba for the Triumph Hurdle, Palladium has been heavily backed into 12/1 from 20/1 in recent days for the race as punters anticipate an impressive debut on Thursday.

Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “Palladium is already a record-breaker having passed through the sales ring for a colossal sum and despite Nicky Henderson holding the ace card in the Triumph Hurdle, punters are clearly expecting the German Derby winner to throw his hat into the ring in style on Thursday.”
