Four year old Secret Rock beat 11 older rivals to win Wexford's Visit Wexford Maiden Hurdle today, scoring for trainer Tony Martin, jockey Peterjon Carberry and owners Newtown Anner Stud Farm.

Bred on both parents' sides (Fascinating Rock-So Secret) by Maurice Regan's Newtown Anner Stud, 102-rated Secret Rock today scored readily from Tennessee Titan in a race which was confined to horses which had never been placed in at least three runs.

Trainer Martin reported “it was a low-grade race but he did it well. Peter (Carberry) did a good job on him as he was a little bit keen, head-strong and awkward. He got him well settled and it all went well from there.

“He is only a four-year-old and we will mix it with him between hurdles and the Flat."
