Fort Makes French Connection Superlative Stakes winner Hatta Fort is likely to have his next outing at Longchamp on Arc day in the Prix Jean Luc Lagardere.Connections of the Cape Cross colt are favouring the seven-furlong Group One contest over the Bank Of Scotland (Ireland) National Stakes at the Curragh.Trainer Mick Channon said: 'There is also the Champagne Stakes but he'd have to be supplemented into that, so we're favouring France in five weeks.'Hatta Fort worked on the summer ground this morning and Channon added: 'He gave Sam Hitchcott a great feel in spite of a slipping girth.'The horse is in great order and has never been better.'Flashy Wings was another to please in her work but Channon feels the filly needs more time and will not run her in next Wednesday's Strensall Stakes at York.'She worked well and the scope we did on her afterwards was as clear as it's been for a long time,' added Channon.'My inclination is to skip York and wait another fortnight.'(C) PA Sport
