Galway Races Leading Trainer Award Update

For the 28th year in a row Chanelle Veterinary are the proud sponsors of the Leading Trainer Award at the Galway Races.

Dermot Weld is still ahead of the rest of the field after 2 wins during the third day of racing in Ballybrit, taking his tally to 35 points.

Tony Martin has had a fantastic run at Ballybrit so far this year with 5 winners, the same as Weld, but is trailing by 9 points and needs more places to catch up.

The Chanelle Plate and €3,800 will be awarded to the Trainer with the most points accumulated over the 7 days of the summer festival, the runner-up with receive €1,200 on Sunday.
