Goddess impresses the Sun-worshippers at the Curragh After a promising run at Naas on debut, Sun Goddess made short work of her eight rivals in the opening two-year-old fillies maiden at a sunny Curragh. Sent off 4/11 favourite for the six-furlong contest, the Sioux Nation filly raced close to the pace and was pushed clear by Ryan Moore approaching the final furlong. She scored by five lengths from Green Carrera and was cut to 3/1 (from 6s) for the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.  Winning trainer Aidan O'Brien said "She had a lovely run the first day. We got her out the first day in case she was an Ascot filly,  and she ran so well that that is why she is back here.  "She could be an Albany filly if she knows enough, but Ryan said she was still very green between the two and the one (furlong markers), but then she started to go again after that.  "We have Neolithic, who is a fair horse as well, by the stallion (Sioux Nation) and this is a big rangy filly who will definitely improve plenty as she goes."
