Hong Kong next for Fairy
Snow Fairy is to miss the Japan Cup in favour of a tilt at either the Hong Kong Vase or Cup.
The winner of both the Investec and Irish Oaks, Ed Dunlop's filly made off with an even more financially rewarding prize in the Far East last weekend, bursting down the far rail under Ryan Moore in the Queen Elizabeth II Commemorative Cup at Kyoto.
After speaking to Snow Fairy's owner Cristina Patino, Dunlop has decided to opt out of the Japan Cup a week on Sunday to prepare her for the meeting at the former British colony on December 12.
"She is going to go to Hong Kong," said Dunlop on Thursday.
"I discussed things with the owner and as she had lost a bit of weight after being transferred from Kyoto to Tokyo - nothing dramatic or anything - we felt we would have a bit more time.
"She will probably ship for Hong Kong next week and has two options over there, the Vase or the Cup. We will make a decision as to which nearer the time."
