Leader In Line For Lodge Tilt City Leader could have a first crack at a mile in Saturday's Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes at Ascot.The Brian Meehan-trained colt was a winner over seven furlongs on his debut at the Berkshire track before running into leading 2000 Guineas fancy Raven's Pass at Sandown.City Leader, who is owned by the Sangster family, was beaten seven lengths but lost little in defeat against one of the best juveniles seen out this term and connections believe he has progressed for the run.'I think we are seriously considering a run,' said Ben Sangster. 'He's going to do a bit of light work on Thursday and then we'll have a good look at the race.'He seemed to bump into a real good one last time ? Mr (John) Gosden's horse (Raven's Pass) does look very good.'Brian feels the horse has come on again since then though and he is good form.'Coming from a family that includes Derby-placed Colonel Collins, Sangster is not concerned by the trip.'We think the step up to a mile will suit.
