Soldier At War (7/2) made it three on the day for Gordon Elliott in the Sligo Racecourse Maiden Hurdle, with Jack Kennedy bringing home the three parts of a length victor.

Following on from stable companions Lethal Steps (Davy Russell) and Take A Turn (Keith Donoghue) earlier, Gigginstown House Stud's Soldier At War won on his hurdles debut after a 147 day absence.

Runner-up Castlebellingham didn't make it easy for Denis Hogan on the run-in and the County Tipperary operator was also responsible for the third home, Generator City (Shane Mulcahy), five lengths back.

Second in a point-to-point to his now fellow Cullentra House inmate, the hugely exciting Malone Road, Soldier At War joined current connections for 140,000 pounds.

He is another decent graduate of the Warren Ewing academy.

A.W. Short, rider of Outside The Ring trained by Neil McKnight, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.

C.A. Landers, rider of Glencullen Hero trained by Michael E Hallinan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount found the going too quick.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Echo Boy trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
