Eighteen year old Fermanagh rider Ryan Treacy made it two from two on the racecourse as he recorded his second winner on his second track ride aboard the 66/1 Oliver Brady trained outsider Flamenco Prince in the Fran Murrin Memorial Maiden Hurdle.

Treacy recorded his first winner on One Cool Shabra at Bellewstown in July when he was in the amateur ranks.

There was a major sting in the tail at Bellewstown however as he was suspended by the Stewards for a total of twenty-one days.

Seven days for using his whip with excessive force and frequency and fourteen days for improper riding.

Having his first ride back since that ban, his first ride as a professional and his first ride over hurdles, he had his mount in front at the fourth hurdle and remained there until he was headed after the three out.

He dropped to a moderate fifth before the second last and was fourth at the last.

However he found an extra gear going up the hill and stayed on best to lead close home and win by half a length at the line. King Malik hit the front before the second last and attempted to go on under Mark Walsh for Conor O'Dwyer.

The 3/1 shot wasn't fluent over the last two hurdles but he still looked the winner a furlong out, however he tired up the hill and had to settle for second. Zadarska was sent off the 6/4 favourite for Emmet & Willie Mullins and he stayed on strongly up the hill alongside the winner but he was short of room close home and finished a length back in third.

"That's unbelievable. The young boy gave him a superb ride," said assistant Anthony McCann.

"He's a horse that the boss could never get to the bottom of but he watched him out on the gallop last week and seen Ryan riding him and said that the next day he runs he should ride as they get on well.

"That's Ryan's first ride over hurdles and he only got the licence upgraded yesterday."

Coincidentally it was Flamenco Prince's sixty-sixth start today and his first success while he was also of course returned at the odds of 66/1!
