A Wave Of The Sea can step up on a promising debut when he contests the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden in Sligo.

Joseph O’Brien’s Born To Sea gelding kept on for third behind his stablemate Vivax and Aneczka, who were dead-heat winners in an extended mile-and-a-quarter maiden in Dundalk at the start of this month.

He should come on plenty from that opening gambit and encounters a similar trip in Connacht on Tuesday. Shane Crosse takes 5lb off his back.

Michael Halford’s Alakahan could provide a threat after his fifth on debut at Cork.

Denis Hogan’s Lincoln has to go on the short-list for the O’Hehir’s Bakery Claiming Race, because he is well ahead on official ratings.

Cruella Dovil was pipped by a neck in 30-runner sprint at the Curragh, which brings her right into the mix for the Foleys Bar & Off Licence Sligo Median Auction Maiden over six furlongs.

The Kilcawley Construction Handicap is very competitive fare. Iseebreeze has been in good form on the Polytrack at Dundalk and could have plenty to offer off a lowly mark, with Alan Persse taking a further 7lb off.

Top-weight Pleasurable makes plenty of appeal in the first split of the www.countysligoraces.com Handicap after an improved fifth on seasonal bow at Cork.

In division two, Halford’s Libras Power catches the eye after a decent runner-up berth over the same six-furlong trip in Dundalk.

She does have to overcome stall 13, though.

Solomons Seal was very good off the front in Killarney last week and has prospects of a quickfire double in the Martin Reilly Mazda Handicap.

Royal Canford and Arcland look the pair to focus on in the Sligo Races Hospitality Handicap after both finished third on their last starts.
