On debut for Fozzy Stack Bambari landed a gamble in the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk.

Off a 491 day break the Chris Hayes-ridden Bambari justified the confidence of those that backed him down from 16/1 earlier, into a returned 'sixes.'

Colin Keane, bidding for a double after his opening race win on It's Two O Clock came home well aboard second favourite Pillar However Bambari held on by a neck.

"He's a yard favourite and plays an important role down there. He's mad well but the plan wasn't to be that handy. However he'd other ideas and stuck at it well," reported Hayes.

"I don't know if they are going to bring him back up here again but hopefully they will.He loved the track and is a lovely straight forward genuine horse.

"He was probably just weak in his younger days but has strengthened up now, and they could have plenty of fun with him here over the winter."

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that following an inspection of the passport of Eleuthera(GB), trained by J.F. Levins, the animal was shown to have been vaccinated within 7 days.

Having considered the report, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Eleuthera(GB) under the provisions of Rule 91(i)and took no further action.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Peace Mission trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
