Best Behavior flew home on the run-in to snatch victory close home in the Naas Racecourse Of The Year Novice Handicap Chase at the Kildare venue this afternoon.

Oliver McKiernan 's charge had looked booked for third over the last as Star Max and Uaintseenothingyet battled it out in the two-and-a-half mile contest.

Barry Browne got a great tune from Best Behavior on the run-in, however, as he picked up on the stand's rail to pip Star Max close home for a length-and-a-half win.

The 4/1 winner was following up on his success at Leopardstown over Christmas.

McKiernan said:- “He pulled out the stops there. It was a funny race as he made a few mistakes and Barry wasn’t that hard on him until he began to realise he might have a chance in the straight.

“The ones in front went quick enough and were tiring and he had a bit more toe to keep going. Hopefully there is a big handicap in him some day.”
