The consistent Benefit Run ran out a cosy winner of the Frank O'Beirne Memorial Handicap Chase at Sligo.

Ross O'Sullivan 's charge had been placed on his last two outings, including when runner-up here on his return last month.

Sean O'Keeffe gave the 15/8 favourite a confident ride as he tracked front-runner Rocky Court before taking over five from home.

The Beneficial gelding had his rivals hard at work two from home and popped the last to record a six length success over Stylish Moment

Benefit Run had won his maiden hurdle here last year and O’Keeffe said:- “He likes the track and he’s won here before. He enjoyed himself today, he jumped really well and things just fell right for him.

“He’s been knocking on the door and deserves a win like that.

“He was a bit wrong at the third last but he was still good, got away from it quick and galloped to the line well.”
