Jim Bolger doubled up at the Curragh today when Panstarr claimed the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Northfields Handicap.

Rory Cleary bounced out and made all on the 8/1 shot in the €150,000 ten furlong contest.

The Godolphin filly drifted left under pressure when asked for an effort passing the two pole but stuck on gamely in the closing stages.

7/2 favourite Mawaany ran on well in the final furlong but could only get within a neck of the winner at the line.

Panstarr was recording her third career success and following up a win at Gowran last month.

“It was good. To win any race this weekend is nice,” said Bolger.

“Rory gave her a terrific ride and he is a star. I think she handles any ground but handles that ground well anyway.

“She's entered at Listowel (in a Listed race on Wednesday) but may not get there this week.”

Bolger had earlier enjoyed Group 1 success with the impressive Verbal Dexterity
