Trainer John Ryan and Grand National winning jockey David Mullins combined to win the second division of the Tulsk Mares Maiden Hurdle at Roscommon today as the pair struck with all-the-way winner Bonarc

The daughter of Arcadio had the measure of 6/5 favourite Bioverdia when that rival fell at the final flight and at the line, beat She Tops The Lot by four and a half lengths.

Both winners of the divided race were front-runners, following Telmesomethinggirl s win in the opening race, and after the second race, Templemore based Ryan commented “that is great to get it; I was nabbed with Mystery Stowaway at Limerick on Monday and those horses are working well; everything I've run so far has run well.

“She is a well bred filly and is out of a King's Theatre mare. She had a wind issue that I had to get done and she'll stay novice hurdling for the summer.

“She is smart and quick now that she has had her wind op; she'll be a competitor in all those novice hurdles for the summer.

“I have a heap of horses in for the rest of the summer.”
