In the Moscow Flyer colours of Brian Kearney, Robbie Power landed the Hotel Minella Maiden Hurdle at his ease aboard Rebelion Boy (7/1) at Tipperary.
A first-time tongue-strap seemed to bring forward the Jessica Harrington-trained Millenary gelding significantly.
Here he asserted from the favourite, Knockmaole Boy going to the final hurdle, before easing on to register an eleven length success.
"He has come on plenty from his run at Ballinrobe (finished 6th 9 days back) and he likes good ground," said Power.
"He's a good ground horse and just didn't get home in his point to points. He always worked well at home, is a little bit keen going but two miles is his trip at the moment.
"Until he learns to settle, two miles is far enough for him. It's my first winner in those colours."
It was actually Mr Kearney's first winner since Moscow Flyer triumphed in the 2005 Melling Chase at Aintree. The great horse did later land the charity race at the 2007 Punchestown festival under Kate Harrington.
J.S. McGarvey, rider of Euro So Brave trained by W.J.Austin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was under pressure in the back straight but stayed on in the straight.
D.J. Mullins, rider of Perfect Leader trained by P. Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung left.
