Brave Display swooped on the outer to land a 20/1 shock in the second division of the six-furlong handicap at Dundalk.

Patrick Prendergast 's charge has been well held on his last two outings but bounced back to form to land his second course and distance win.

Dylan Hogan drove him into contention inside the final furlong and he got his head in front in the closing stages to beat Lily's Prince by three-parts-of-a-length.

“The handicap reassessment was a big help as it’s brought him back into the 45-65 bracket,” said Prendergast.

“He’d a very good run when he was second (at Navan in September) but after that the rain came at Fairyhouse and it was very heavy and the last day he just found the seven (furlongs) too far.

“If there are races for him I’ll keep coming up over the winter. He won here before and he likes it.

“I’m very grateful they put on this meeting as this horse was very nearly going home and it would have been one less horse in training.”
